ABOUT KEVIN
Me and Harley
Kevin McGehearty grew up watching his
dad, grandfather and a great-uncle always walking around with cameras taking pictures.
As a child he always played the cameraman. He started out by taking a photography
class in high school. After attending a yearbook seminar, he fell in love with working
in the dark room watching the image appear on the paper by agitating the tray with
the developer chemicals in it. Kevin’s first job was the head photographer for his
high school yearbook and was head photographer at summer camp.
Kevin attended the Texas School of Professional
Photography (TSPP), the largest professional photography school in the world. He
has volunteered his time for nine years to help assist the master photographers
that are teaching the week-long course.
Kevin has been a professional photographer
for over 12 years and recently struck out on his own opening a studio outside Austin
TX. He was a photographer for the Outdoor Education Center for Houston ISD, Wal-Mart
photo center, and was studio manager and back-up photographer for a major photography
studio in Round Rock TX for over three years. He was also the featured photographer
for HP at the Print ’09 Convention and HP PMA Convention for 2010. Currently he
is the Official Photographer for Texas Charity Angels.
Kevin is an award winning photographer
and is a Member of Professional Photographers of America (PPA), Texas Professional
Photographers Association (TPPA), and Austin Professional Photographers guild (APG).
All subjects, styles and themes
are welcome and available from KM Photography, from Traditional, Photojournalism
